I love going to bookstores, and looking at books on architecture. I just love all the different ideas humanity has come up with for dwelling structures. My favorite architect has always been Frank Lloyd Wright, he is no longer alive, but he left us a legacy of houses, buildings and structures that are still around and I think they are fascinating. I mean he designed temples, churches, museums, and so on. He was great. I actually own a few books that display his work. I sometimes sit down and look at these books, and I start to feel great inside. This idea of building structures reminds me of an old song.
Back in the 70's Annie Herring had a song titled "Mansion Builder" that she would sing with her siblings Nelly and Mathew Ward in the group 2nd Chapter of Acts. I use to love that song, in fact I still do, now days I usually listen to it on my Ipod. If you read out of a King James Version in the book of John it says in John 14:2-3:
"In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where am, there ye may be also."
In these verses Jesus Christ was letting us know something very literal. I read it and interpret it as is and as it says:
"In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where am, there ye may be also."
I think that it is great to be a believer in Christ, and to know that we have this hope. I think that if we as humans can design such wonderful dwelling places...I can not even begin to imagine the mansions that the Creator of all things would have envisioned.
