Happy Fall to everyone! It’s still slightly warm here in
South Florida. Thank God for AC! We are back on Standard Time, which I
personally love. I even promote a page on Facebook which is titled Abolish
Daylight Savings Time. I know persons living north of us in places like Canada would
probably prefer to stay on Daylight Savings during the winter, which is
understandable since sunset comes rather early for them this time of year. Anyhow,
I wasn’t planning on writing or posting anything today. In fact, I was telling
someone yesterday that today I was going to relax and perhaps cast videos from
YouTube and such on the big screen…maybe go out to lunch and have some
delicious Cuban food, which I did. Speaking of Cuban food, I wonder if many
people know that many Cuban recipes are heavily influenced by Canary Islands
cuisine due to heavy migrations to Cuba in the past from there. Just thought I
would share this, but enough sidetracking for now…lol.
While in the middle of doing mostly resting today, I ran
into this video on YouTube, and I had to share it because it is a form of
apologetics. Best of all, it is apologetics for Christianity found in non-Christian
writings. I will share the source, and I will admit that I have not done
research into what the person in the video is stating; however, if factual, the
evidence is fascinating. I encourage everyone to watch, and research for yourselves.

DeleteI must make a comment because something the gentleman said bothers me a bit. What he said isn’t found in this short video I have shared; however, it is found on another longer version. The statement was with relevance to the birth of Christ. He said: “we have always said as a church that Jesus was not born in December because it was too cold.” I don’t really know where he got this idea. He seems to be confusing the birth of Christ with the visit of the Wise Men (The Magi). The visit of the Magi was sometime after his birth most likely, maybe almost two years later. All one needs to do is read chapter 2 of The Gospel of Matthew to see this. In fact, allow me to share this reading with everyone.

Note 1: They came asking: “Where is the child who has been born king of the Jews?”

Jesus was very likely born in December because the Annunciation took place in late March, and nine months later would be late December. Just from reading the chapter alone, one can determine that Jesus had already been born, and that they visited him in his house. Of course, this idea doesn’t go against the Chinese writings he is referencing, it just goes against his idea that Jesus couldn’t have been born in December when most evidence points to December.
